The Resole Ritual

Every sole crosses the Styx.
Only the worthy return.

Sole Selection

The ritual begins with an assessment. We inspect the damage, wear patterns, and rubber type to determine the most suitable replacement.
We typically use Vibram XS Grip 2 — revered among climbers for its balance of stick and durability.

The Separation
Like the reaper’s scythe, the worn sole is precisely cut away. We remove the toe and rand as needed, exposing the midsole and prepping for rebirth.

Cleansing and Preparation
Any leftover glue, rubber, or decay is purged. The shoe’s surface is roughened and cleaned to ensure a perfect bond between the new rubber and the original form.

Reforging the Rand (if needed)
If the toe cap (rand) is damaged or paper-thin, we reconstruct it using fresh rubber, restoring the original toe profile and structure.

Sole Rebirth
With surgical precision, new rubber is applied — heated, pressed, and shaped to match the shoe’s original tension and profile. We don’t just replace rubber. We restore performance.

Curing and Compression
The shoe rests — clamped, heated, and compressed. The bonding process is critical. No shortcuts. This is where it seals its fate.

Final Blessing
We trim and clean the edges, ensuring the rubber wraps like a second skin. Shoes are inspected again, tension checked, and shaped for optimal feel.

Return to the Mortal Realm
Your shoes are ready. Tested. Reborn. You’ll feel the difference the moment you step on the wall.
